I am so excited to have Deb in the workshop teaching knitting! This class requires basic knitting skill, you will learn the basics of knitting in the round and each participant will knit a toque. Included in this class is a hands on class with instruction from Deb, lunch both days provided by Awn and a recipe pack to take home.
Class time 11:30am - 2:00pm both Saturday, May 10 and May 24.
Materials required:
- 1 skein ( approx. 200 metres) of worsted weight yarn
- 1 4.50mm & 1 5.00 mm 100 cm (40 inch) cord
- circular knitting needles
- A faux fur PomPom is optional
About Deb:
I have been knitting for about 20 years. I try to knit every day and my favourite project is socks.
I taught Learn to Knit classes at a local yarn shop for over 12 years. I also instructed Knit in the Round - Toques, Mittens, First Sweater and Socks. My favourite part of teaching is witnessing how people feel when they “get it”.
I look forward to helping you learn a new skill, a great way to relax (eventually) and the ability to create!
Included in this class is dinner with wine, a hands-on class with instruction and a thorough recipe pack that includes bonus recipes and a section on sourcing ingredients.
