March 8 | Seed Starting + Compost

In this class we will learn how to start seeds - from how to source seeds, to what soil to use, and all of the other bits you'll need. Each student will start 6 tomato plants (with the hope that at least 4 germinate!), as well as make 2L of seed starting mix to take home to start other plants later in the season. We will talk through backyard composting in detail - what you need, how to start one, and how to use your finished compost. Included in this hands on class is an extensive recipe pack with bonus recipes and dinner with wine. Each student will go home with 2L of seed starting mix, a 6 pack with their tomato seeds to nurture, 1 package of West Coast seeds.
