Awn Kitchen is Hiring

Well, it’s finally time to start digging into the wild world of hiring a team during a global pandemic!

A little bit of background that might be redundant to some but is important to mention. Awn Kitchen is expanding after five and a half successful years of running a cooking school out of our home kitchen to a retail space in the community of Lansdowne. The space is something we have worked hard to create through lots of time, dreaming and planning – it’s one but two, a workshop and café. It’s divided into two so that both spaces can work independently to one another, but they can also work together when needed. We searched for over a year to find the perfect space and really do feel we have found it, now we just need to build the perfect team as the construction on the space starts to wind down. The foundation of Awn Kitchen is to bring people together while sharing good seasonal food from our extensive class offerings to the new piece that we are so excited to open – the café. We have huge vision for this space as we move forward and can’t wait to create a team to help bring that vision to a reality. Along with sharing good seasonal food together, we believe in education, community and supporting local through sharing the stories of the producers we get to work with daily.

We are looking for individuals who have a positive and respectful attitude, enjoy working as a part of a team, have a solid work ethic, and a passion for all things local. All positions with Awn Kitchen have opportunity for growth and of course to learn – after all education is at the foundation of everything we do! The team will be small but mighty as is the space. Positions will be dynamic as there is opportunity to work both in the workshop and café. We are looking for baristas, bakers / chefs, and potentially a manager. Do get in touch if you are keen to join us as we start this next adventure bringing more of Awn Kitchen to the community of Lansdowne and beyond. All applicants must be available to work early mornings and weekends.

If you’re keen to come and join the Awn Kitchen team, get in touch with Kaelin by email (info@awnkitchen.com) with your resume and let her know:
